Wow, this has been a super exciting week.  I'm almost sad to see it go.  Today I wanted to share with you a mixed media canvas.

These gorgeous Botanicals from Petaloo complimented Marion's paper lines beautifully! Here are the products I used to create this canvas.

My background was inspired by a rusted sign.  I really wanted the edges to have that rusted metal effect.  I used the Tattered Angels Natural Paint System - Mahogany  but instead of "as directed"  I blotched it on with a paint brush. Once it was dry I applied some crackle paint from Ranger to give it a blistered rusty effect.

Oh my can you say Luscious? Look at these wonderful embellies all clustered together, with a few extra fussy cut pieces from the Marion Smith Paper collections. I absolutely love how these all work so well together.

Welcome to day three of the hop!  Today I wanted to share a little mixed media card that I made for Mother's Day. This card could easily be used for any occasion by changing out the sentiment.

I used scraps from the Never Grow Up Sleep Over paper, Mad Tea Party Wonderland paper, Filigree Doily, Tea Party Stamps, Texture Stamps, and Garden Rose Stamps from Marion Smith S

Petaloo's Velvet Hydrangeas Fuchsia flowers are the star of this card.

I really wanted to showcase some of the Marion's amazing stamps on my card.  So I painted the Sleepover paper with white gesso to tone down the paper pattern. I then used Archival Coffee Ink to stamp my images.   I even stamped over the wooden filigree and the flowers, to give them texture.

This is one of my home made wooden embellishments that I made with the Tea Party stamps and a  balsa wood piece.  I did a tutorial a few months back.  You can view it here.

I added some flat back pearls to the center of the flowers, and painted them with my RV09 Copic Marker to match the flowers.

A little Heidi Swapp Gold Lame Color Shine finished this card off with the Midas touch!   I know my Mother is going to love this card.

Don't forget to check out my projects from Days 1 & 2 as well.

Welcome to day two of the hop.  Today I wanted to share with you a card that I created with the scraps from yesterday's canvas.   I love to immediately make a card with the scraps when I finish a project. It helps to clear away the clutter from my desk, and helps to keep the scraps low.

I used scraps from the Never Grow Up Collections, Remember This and Sleep Over Papers, and half of a doily that didn't make it onto my layout.    I used the cut apart journal page from Garment District to hold my sentiment.

For the Petaloo flowers I used the Velvet Hydrangeas Cream, and a leaf from the Spring Berry Clusters.

I love how these flowers add a touch of spring to this card.  They sparkled so much, that I decided to die cut a butterfly from some misted paper to accompany them.

Don't you just love spring?  It is my favorite time of year.  Today's project is a Shabby Chic layout of my Niece Adalyn at Easter last year egg hunting.

These gorgeous Botanicals from Petaloo complimented Marion's paper lines beautifully! Here are the products I used to create this layout.

The flowers remind me of the azaleas blooming in my front yard at the moment.  I wanted to create a Shabby Chic Mixed media layout that I could hang on my fireplace mantle, and bring the spring in doors.  Marion's Never Grow Up line had these beautiful spring patterns that made the entire piece come together.

I have created a process video showing you how I made the layout!

Hi, everyone, Tonya here - welcome to my house!
Today I wanted to share with you a card that I created as an invitation to my annual egg coloring party. I wanted my card to have the feel of colored Easter eggs, but with an elegant twist.

I used the Delicate Egg Die for my card, and then made it appear as though it were free floating in the middle of the card.

http://www.die-namites.com/Delicate-Egg_p_165.html#

Wait - are you asking "How did she do that?"   Here is a complete step by step video of me making this card.

I love how the Gelatos from Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft create a soft watercolor look just like the egg coloring kits.

Thanks for hopping with us today make sure you left a comment to be eligible for these fantastic prizes.

Now, head on over to Lynne Forsythe’s blog to continue the hop. Thank you for joining our blog hop!

Die-Namites March Sketch Challenge

2
Have you submitted your March Sketch Challenge entry? What are you waiting for? The month is half way over, don't let time get away.

Here is this month’s sketch.....

The Dare for March was use Purple!

The sketch below can be interpreted as a card, layout or altered piece! You need to use at least one Die~Namites Die in your creation.

Here is my take on the sketch....

I used the new March release Fragile Flowers - DN-1165 for my card's focal point.

http://www.die-namites.com/Fragile-Flowers_p_172.html

The flowers were colored with Tim Holtz' distress markers in Mustard Seed, Concord Grape, and Shabby Shutters.  Then for added texture I polished the flowers with clear glitter nail polish.

Please visit the challenge page for contest rules and submission details.

A random winner will be chosen from eligible participants for a $25 Gift Certiļ¬cate to Die~Namites Dies.

I can't wait to see your take on the challenge.

Good luck!
