Hi, everyone, Tonya here - welcome to my house!
Today I wanted to share with you a card that I created as an invitation to my annual egg coloring party. I wanted my card to have the feel of colored Easter eggs, but with an elegant twist.

I used the Delicate Egg Die for my card, and then made it appear as though it were free floating in the middle of the card.

Wait - are you asking "How did she do that?"   Here is a complete step by step video of me making this card.

I love how the Gelatos from Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft create a soft watercolor look just like the egg coloring kits.

Thanks for hopping with us today make sure you left a comment to be eligible for these fantastic prizes.

Now, head on over to Lynne Forsythe’s blog to continue the hop. Thank you for joining our blog hop!

Transformations

0
Hi everyone, today is March 1 and that means spring is right around the corner.  When I think of spring, I think of new beginnings and transformations. Currently, my yard has begun the transformation from winter to spring. It is peppered with camellia blossoms, the azaleas are in full bloom, and the dogwood trees are starting to bud. I just love this time of year. Seems like God's paint brush is full of high contrasts, and vibrant splashes of color.

Today's project is about transformation. Taking something from its original form and making it something else.  When you look at things with a different perspective, it gives new life to your supplies.

I was playing with my nephew and he was cutting out the Flowering Tree die (he loves to play with Aunt Tonya's toys). A few of his cuts were not so perfect, but they gave me a different perspective.  He and I both saw butterflies, which then led to dragonflies.

The butterflies and dragonflies from above were made using two cuts from the Flowering Tree die.
In the video below I will show you how to make three different styles from this tree die.

They look lovely on all your projects.  I low how this dragonfly and butterfly look on this mixed media tag.

These would look fantastic in a floral spray on a layout, or as the focal point on a card.
I hope I have given you an idea of how to look at your dies with a different perspective.
Thanks for stopping in today!
