Inspiration Mixed Media Tag

Hi, everyone,  wow  I feel like it has been forever since I was able to get any real Inky Finger Fun Time.  I've been moving into a new home, and had LOTS of things to unpack.  I have to tell myself to get the yuck stuff done first before the fun times, or I'll never get back to the YUCK stuff.  Do you know what I mean?  Funny thing, when you start moving and cleaning inspiration finds you EVERYWHERE.   I would find an old product that I forgot about, and BOOM I wanted to play.  I would see something new and BOOM I wanted to play.  Well I'm all settled in (a few minor chores left to deal with), and the fun times are rolling on in!

Today I'm honored to be a guest designer over on Limor Webber's Blog. I have created a tag tutorial, and hope you have a chance to stop over and take a look at the video tutorial.

I'm using the BRAND NEW Limor Webber Designs - Limor Circles Stamps by IndigoBlu.   She just restocked them, so if you have been looking for them, click the link above and grab them up!  They have been a sell out world wide for over a month now!

This is one of my favorite sets in her latest collection.  I think I've used them on everything since I got them!    This set has 21 stamps, giving you endless possibilities for using them! I'm so happy for Limor's success, her new collection has been a sell out world wide.  Great news though - Limor recently restocked them in her store, so get them while you can!

Here is a look at the finished tag.   Isn't it GORGEOUS?    You can find details about my process, and a video tutorial over on her blog today!

  1. I love your tag, but I have a question. As I watch tutorials when people are stamping or using a stencil, I notice that stencils are placed over newly media . Do you dry the media before you re-place it again? I am not sure how to do what. Like when you were using the gold crackle. Thank you, Lanna

    1. Great question. I let stuff dry except the medium I'm applying. SO I add all the gold before I dry it, that is why I rotated the stencil so it wouldn't smear the other gold elements. With some mediums if you don't allow it dry between application it can become muddy or contaminate the other. This may be a look your after, but it may not. I suggest practicing on a project like Tags or Art Journals to see how different mediums work with each other. I'll try to address this question in my next video so that it becomes clearer. Sometimes I just mix it all up, but I think comfort in knowing when to dry and when not to dry comes from practice. I will say that I usually show when I dry something even if it is for a brief moment. Or I will narrate that it needs to be dry before continuing. Thank you for taking the time to ask!
